Welcome

Picture of Marilyn Salzman Hi there! I'm Marilyn Salzman, your city council candidate for District 6! I'm proud to welcome you to my new home on the web! This web site was built to help clarify my views on the political scene in Rio Rancho and to encourage residents to participate in the development of their community. I've called District 6 home for almost 22 years, and I have participated and seen the growth occurring throughout the city. I know making intelligent decisions now will help make our community even better in the future. I have worked hard to make Rio Rancho a great place to live, play, learn and work and I have the confidence in knowing I can count on your support and your vote in the upcoming election on Tuesday, March 6, 2012!

Thanks for Visiting!

DISTRICT 6 REDISTRICTING

Every ten years after the census is completed, many changes take place and one very important change is due to redistricting. Below you will find a map of the area that is now District 6; pay close attention to the boundaries. The neighborhood of Vista Entrada near the Sandoval County Courthouse off Idalia and NM 528, River's Edge I, II and III and part of Chamiza Estates are all that remain from the “old” District 6. Added during the redistricting process are the communities of Los Rios, Grey Hawk, Vista Hills, and Unit 17 south to Northern Blvd. Quite a big change.

This partial reduced map shows District 6 in blue:
